Choosing the right filters for your situation
The ER-9, 15 & 25’s are numbered based on the amount of attenuation that they offer.
The
15’s are the standard filter and are by far the most popular with muscians,
audiophiles,
and sound professionals.
The
9’s are popular with singers becuase of the percise monitoring of the
voice that is needed by some vocalists. It is recommended, however that 15’s
are tried first before going to the 9’s becuase of the added attenuation
and protection
benefit of the 15’s.
The 25’s are most appropriate for drummers and percussion players in louder stage-amplified bands.
